Interislander's three passenger and vehicle ships - the Arahura, Aratere and the Kaitaki, offer a convenient and regular daily rail freight, commercial, car and passenger service crossing Cook Strait - a 19 kilometre stretch of water separating Wellington on the North Island and Picton on the South Island.

Crossing time is 3 hours for all ferries.

Scheduled ferry service from Bluff to Stewart Island. A 23m catamaran seating 100 people. About one hours travelling time, sailing daily except Christmas Day. Licensed. Group charters, hunting parties welcome.
